Stairs...........Time to take a step forward… I mean to talk about stairs, different types of stairs, different stair idea’s for design and decor. A stairway, staircase, stairwell, flight of stairs, or simply stairs is a construction designed to bridge a large vertical distance by dividing it into smaller vertical distances, called steps. Stairs may be straight, round, or may consist of two or more straight pieces connected at angles. Stairs are basically constructed to get connected to different stories and to an access to different rooms. But at times.. stairs and stair designs are required to cover the vacant area’s of spaces in form of steps. At times these days steps are constructed to give a designer look . Moreover, at time they are very useful for storage purpose.

Not just only the stair case design and style matter.. proper illumination at staircase is important to avoid any sort of accidents. In-between whatever the type of staircase you have chosen to enhance the beauty of your interiors and to get connected to the next stories.. be specific about few things. Let the thread (foot landing steps) be of minimum 8” to 9” so that foot gets a comfortable landing at every step and don’t let the riser of the steps more than 6” to 8” because it may results to accidents if each step riser are too high to step on. It’s difficult for kids and oldies to manage on high riser steps.
After the selection of the type of stair case design, its time to talk about material best suited for your connecting steps. Concrete is not the only option to get desired staircases, but you can go for glass, wood, tiles, marble, mosaic etc. to get the designer stair case. In fact , you can opt for different type of stickers to design and decor your old staircases. Make your old stair case modern and elegant in looks.
